Liberty, egality, fraternity…. Are perhaps one the men and women of a land’s most treasured honours. Rarely has it been granted without copious and myopic organisation.

 

India's smallest state, Goa, is the family home of Alvaro. It remained under colonial rule for 14 years after the Republic of India was formed. In this series, I sort to find and photograph the remaining Freedom fighters of the time and and represent what they stood for visually.
